Bridget Lane is teaching at ISTELU Bible College and supervising/marking exams at the local church secondary school. Pray for her in her daily programme. Pray for her, too, as she prepares for two days of Bible teaching over half term next week. This is for her church youth group. Bridget said she likes to ëhave plenty of ideas and then prune!í Pray for Godís leading so that her final studies may be just what the young folk need to learn and may make a real impact on their lives.
Debbie Howard mentioned last week about work being done to refurbish the street boysí house and make it more secure. Pray for her and the team as they recruit boys for a new programme to start in March, after which they will select some to live in the house. Pray that God will guide them in all their decisions. Pray for Debbie as she speaks at the large Kamalondo church in Lubumbashi on Sunday.
Carol Seymour and Ginny Perkins had to make no less than SEVEN visits to the office concerned in Lubumbashi about the new driving licences last week! All the missionariesí files will now go to Kinshasa for processing. Last Thursdayís TV/Radio recordings went well and testimonies have been received from people who were blessed through them. Praise God for this fruit and also for a good response to Godís Word last Sunday at the two prisons in Likasi. Pray for Carol at Kasapa prison this Thursday, Ginny at the Lighthouse Project, and both visiting a church in a poor suburb of Lubumbashi on Sunday.
Pray for those carrying on the work at Nyangombe in the McKillopsí absence.
Wanderley & Rosaria da Silva have sent news about extreme weather conditions in Mozambique. In the central area where they live, there has been no rain for a week or so and temperatures are close to 40 degrees C. However, in the south there are floods, with over 150,000 people displaced. Pray for the rain to stop in the flooded regions and to fall in the dry areas! Pray for Godís protection for the da Silvas and their property, with the increased crime levels these days. Pray for them as they travel to South Africa on Sunday for daughter Dayeneís graduation.
Pray for the church planters, especially those who are discouraged or facing opposition.
Remember Nick & Kym Delport and Gordon & Sybil McKillop on leave in UK. Pray for refreshment and for Godís blessing on their church visitation work.
